Squash
At the top level squash is one of the fastest and most exciting sports in the world. A top player must have the speed of sprinter, the endurance of a marathon runner, the agility of a gymnast, the coordination of a fencer, and the tactical brain of a chess player.
Squash’s popularity has significantly increased in recent years, a result of a surge in interest generated by the change to softball squash. By embracing the international softball squash game, the United States has chosen to join the rest of the world in universalizing the game. The ramifications of this move from American hardball squash to international softball squash have been tremendous. The slower, softball squash has allowed many players the instant gratification of playing squash almost immediately. Whereas the hardball squash game took quick reflexes and extremely good hand-eye coordination. The softball game has allowed many more people the opportunity to play squash because of the slower ball.
Our Squash Program
Our squash program provides members with individual instruction and coaching in the sport, major tournaments throughout the year, (including international, national, state, and in-house tournaments), weekly round robins, a junior program, and numerous squash clinics geared for players in a range of levels including advanced to professional/elite players.
Ranking
Our squash professionals will evaluate your prowess during your participation in one of our free adult clinics. Only they may determine your ranking. Thereafter, consult with a pro, or better yet, arrange for a lesson when you feel your ranking should change.
Limitations
Players are limited to two future peak hour court reservations. Peak hours are Monday – Friday 5 pm to 8 pm. Saturday and Sunday are excluded. You may not reserve back-to-back court times even if you play two different people. However, if a court is not reserved after your match you may continue playing.
